QOTD on Strike!

Not really. We're just away from our computer on our West Coast tour for the next week or so.

But we'll be back to quoting the hell right out of you when we return.

In case you're interested in what QOTD will be up to when we visit the San Francisco area, this clip should get you up to speed:

CUT. IT. OUT, indeed.

a note from QOTD headquarters...

Things have been very busy around here. Yesterday and today's quotes are coming this afternoon/evening. But in the meantime, enjoy a couple of Batman villain movies.

QOTD returns! quote of the day (April 21, 2008)

As I described in my last post, when you have as many as 3 individual daily visitors to a blog, you've got to use that power for good. And since we here at QOTD headquarters have had dozens* of requests for the return of the quote of the day, well, this just couldn't have worked out better. (*Dozens of requests, but only two people making them - it was mostly just Javad Khazaeli and Brian Williams, hoping to reopen the QOTD DC satellite bureau) So, anyway, we're back, and this time in blog form. But we're still open to quote suggestions, just like the old days. Write us at christopherdoll@gmail.com.

To kick us off, who better than George Oscar Bluth (Will Arnett) from Arrested Development to lay some ground rules for the revival of the Quote of the Day:

=========================================================
"Please refrain from discussing or engaging in any sort of interoffice [bleep]ing or [bleep]ing or finger [bleep] or [bleep]ing or [bleep]ing or even [bleep]. Even though so many people in this office are begging for it. And if anybody does anything with my sister Lindsay, I’ll take off my pants, I’ll shave my [bleep]. And I’ll personally [long bleep]"

I'm a Free-Born Man of the USA (we're back)

After a stellar two months of NOT POSTING, your formerly-mustached blogger has returned. Since I never really bothered to log in and give a full wrap-up here, let me do so now.

First, a full thank you to all the generous donors. In an astounding showing for our first-year, our scraggly mustache-growers raised about $55,000 once all of the matching funds were added. My own pitiful whiskers raised almost $2,600, thanks to all of my exceptionally generous friends and family.

I had intended to keep this blog going after my mustached month, but without having to deal with strangers' scorn on my meager blonde-streaked 'stache, I was having some trouble finding my muse.

Anyway, I've decided to use this space to restart my old Quote of the Day (QOTD) - a little waste of time that I started as a freshman at Indiana University back in 1994 and sent out to my friends. So from now on - that's what all 4 of you readers will see in this space. Thanks for those of you who followed this during my mustache antics!
